results on map will not clear with clear commands

Hello,

I need some help. I am finding that on occasion I have some features that have been selected and highlighted through a work flow that will not deselect, or “un-highlight” no matter what I try. I have to refresh my browser to get them to go away. I have tried all of these, "map.clear-markup",  "highlights.clear", "highlights.clear-focus", "results.clear". nothing seems to work. Even if you click on the "remove results" button...it stays. I just want an option that clear all highlights , selection and everything. I have attached a copy of what I am looking at.

Any ideas??

  I wondered if you ever found a solution to this? We seem to have the same issue now
