Add initial popup message - Geocortex Workflow

Hi,

How would you add an initial popup message to a Geocortex Workflow? Something that appears when you first load a map (like a disclaimer).

Edit: I am using Geocortex Workflow Designer rather than VertiGIS Studio Workflow, but that isn't an option for the topic.

  Call a workflow with a form from the Map Initialized event in the viewer (assuming your viewer is VS Web)

  Hi Nico and Alex, thanks a lot for the responses.

  I'm using Geocortex Workflow Designer (rather than VertiGIS Studio Workflow) and am completely new to this. I have an activities sidebar with an ActivityBuilder main section. There are other workflows with an 'init' sequence. Would I use those somehow?

  For Essentials, that is set in Essentials Manager -> Site -> Workflows.

  Add the workflow to your site and check the "Run on Startup" checkbox.

  You can simply just put an Alert activity with your message.

   

  Note: I think all Geocortex Essentials questions go in that one topic now, since the VertiGIS switchover.

  Thanks Alex. I think I have worked out the first bit now and I have also had a bit of a read of Help - Activities (vertigisstudio.com)

  I can't see the 'Alert' activity though (see previous image) and nothing comes up when I search for 'Alert' in any of the search boxes. How would I add an alert? I see in the documentation that it should be under 'Common Client' but I don't seem to have that.

  Our activity lists do not look the same, but the Alert activity is under Common Client section.

  

  I'm not aware of whether there are granular permissions that an admin can set on the activity level. Are you an administrator?

  Which version are you using?

  The issue not seeing all activities is an issue I've seen on some environments.

  Thanks. I am also using version 4.11.0.94. I'll need to check on the admin privileges.
