Updating VMware Tools to version 12.5.0 may cause issues with SOEs in ArcGIS Server. Despite the ArcGIS Server seemingly running without errors, the ArcGIS Server log shows that the map services are constantly crashing and restarting. Debugging the ArcGIS Server Crash Dump indicates a problem with vm3dgl64.dll.
VertiGIS has detected the misbehavior with various SOEs, including the UtilityServer SOE of the UT ServerSuite.
The current solution is to downgrade to version 12.4 or restore the ArcGIS Server machine to a previous state.
