Why do I need a VertiGIS Studio Portal Item

During the post-installation of VertiGIS Studio, the app ID of an ArcGIS Enterprise Portal item must be specified. This is important for the later login or authentication of the VertiGIS Studio Designer and also when deploying WebApps between the system environments.

Create an item in ArcGIS Enterprise

Regardless of the number of VertiGIS Studio products installed, it is recommended to create only one ArcGIS Enterprise Portal item and to refer to this item in each post-installation. For the sake of simplicity, we recommend using a unique name for this item (e.g. “VertiGIS Studio Authentication”).

This procedure avoids authentication problems when switching between the different designers and simplifies installation and administration.
