Layout file name

The printing engine produces output files with a name like 

_EXP_46cc5294397b4461b68b9526b629661d.pdf

Why isn't used the name of the layout and/or is it possible to modfiy the output name?

  Hi Nico,
  
  the file name of the generated output must be unique within the host environment. This is currently ensured by using a generated UUID v4 in a compact (hyphen-less) format.
  
  We are aware that alternative approaches could also guarantee unique file names, for example:

  • using a millisecond timestamp as a prefix
  • adding an incremental suffix (e.g. “_2”) if the proposed file name is already in use

  The following work item already exists in our backlog:
  User Story 340083: [Printing Engine] Allow users to define custom document title and custom file name for print outputs
