Map Tip on Hover
I am new to VertiGIS studio web. My users want to see information from a field in one of the map layers when they hover over that feature. I deleted the default Mouse Hovering Event in the map in VertiGIS studio web builder. How do I add my map tip and/or does it need to be configured in ArcGIS Pro where I am publishing my map from. Thank You!

Hi C Clark, welcome to the community!
There are two key parts to addressing your question:
- the "map tip" configuration, or what is now called a pop-up in the ArcGIS Web Map terminology
- configuring your VSW viewer Map with a Map Hovering event to handle this
Since this topic has come up a few times, I’ve created a detailed Knowledge Base Article: Creating Interactive Pop-Ups Using Map Hovering Events in VertiGIS Studio Web. It provides step-by-step instructions and examples for configuring pop-ups with hover events.
I hope this answers your question! Please let us know how you get on or if you have additional questions.

Thank you for your quick reply! I do not know where the find the Popup slot under the Map component. If you could provide some additional details or a screen capture that would really help. Thank you!

Hi Corie,
You must configure your pop ups in the web map. In the New Map Viewer in Portal it's on the right hand side about half way down. If you're using Pro - right click and say configure pop ups.
Great Question!

Hi Gareth,
Can you provide more details explaining how to get the pop-up to show text, buttons, additional components in the panel as your Knowledge Based Article Describes. As I understand it, the following only shows the results summary. What about the rest of the components in the panel?
[
{
"name": "results.set-display-components",
"arguments": "item://feature-summary/feature-summary-config-1"
},
"tasks.identify",
"results.display-summary"
]
