Zooming in deeper than defined by basemap.
Is it possible to zoom in deeper than the deepest level the basemap provides?
We are migrating viewers that use a generic basemap and contain detailed information about cables and pipes. Users have to zoom in to very deep scales, such as 1:10, while the deepest level of the basemap is 1:188.
We solved this in the old viewers by creating a dummy basemap with only one point, with levels up to 1:12, and setting that as the first service in the viewer. The viewer used this empty basemap to get the coordinate system and zoom scales, and also displayed the basemaps.
Is there a way to reproduce this in the new viewers? The only way I can think of is to add the dummy basemap to the list of basemaps, but this would require users to manually switch the basemap when zooming in. I can imagine they wouldn't like this way of working though...

I'm very interested in this as well. We used to be able to print in further than the basemaps were cached with Geocortex Essentials. Now we have to cache all of our aerials down to less than 200 for our users which is kinda ridiculous (but they need 1 inch = 20 feet etc. on their printed maps).
