Remove specific measurement labels

It would be helpful if commands/options were available to hide specific measurement labels. In some cases, the measurements become crowded with labels indicating every side, while only the total area is relevant. In below example, they start to overlap. We have received feedback from end-users that this becomes an annoyance and it would significantly help to turn off the inbetween measurements.
