"map.export-web-map-or-scene" returns empty item

We have issues with the Export Map command. The command itself works and create an item in our portal. On the thumbnail the markup of the map is present

However, this item is empty.  When trying to op it, the following error is displayed: 

Further, the item is empty when looking at it in the Item Manager. 

 

The command used, is the standard Export Map:

[

    "map.export-web-map-or-scene",

    "portal.create-or-update-item"

]

 

We have tried this across two different Enterprise environments and an ArcGIS Online, but gets the same issues. 

 

Has anyone else experienced or can spot something we have missed? I assume it's a bug

  Hi Olivia Bang Brinck I have also noticed this. From what I can tell, this was a regression introduced in VSW that affects VSW 5.26-5.29. We have it recorded as bug 253601, currently being investigated by our product team.

  I am curious about the use case here, are you intending to provide ways of creating new web maps regularly? If not, I might suggest using something like Item Manager to copy your web maps.

  It is a bit difficult to give the exact use case, as we have not tried exactly how it works yet. However, we have a hope that it can be used to save sketching etc. in the portal. Kind of an add on in some cases to the Shared Project. It might make sense to save different configurations as web maps. Thus, the users which will use this will not be qualified to use the Item Manager. Though, we are aware that the component when having tried it, might not be what we are hoping it to be as this hole use case depends on how the export handles sketches amd other changes.
