Configure DataLinks for layers in WebMap
I would like to be able to create a similar experience as with 'regular' related features, but based on DataLinks.
I imagine this as follows; when creating workflow outputs for a DataLink, I can add a Layer ID to configure which layer the feature set is from (the same way as with the 'show results'-activity). Now all the configuration of that layer would be applied to the DataLink featureset (e.g. pop-up, attributes). This way I would not have to manually make the attributes available, and I would even be able to configure the DataLink for 2 layers in a WebMap, and make it so that you can jump back and forth between related objects, based on a DataLink.
I understand that best practice would be to relate the datasets before publishing services. However, that best practice only applies when you publish both layers yourself, and if both layersources are from the exact same referenced database (or both hosted, and managed by 'you'). The idea that I'm suggesting would apply to all other cases where you want to configure a relationship, for instance if it involves data that you don't (or partly) manage yourself.
Currently DataLinks are focused on external data sources, and that's very usable. But I would love to see the use cases widen up, so as to make DataLinks more usable within a WebMap, rather than outside of it.

Great idea, particularly with things now dependent on being registered in the portal!
