Overview Map - Fixed Extent & Graphic
In Essentials, i was able to set my overview map to be at a fixed extent and the extent graphic of the main map was very clear. with Printing, there doesn't seem to be a way to have a fixed extent, and when zoomed out (to our entire City), the extent graphic is not visible at all.
essentials - extent graphic is not centered, overview map is at a fixed extent
Printing: - extent is not fixed and extent graphic not visible

man, I feel like I added the 'fixed extent in overview' printing idea for this a few years ago, but it seems to be AWOL...

I am using the VertiGIS 5 Print Template from the VertiGIS Studio Web Sample package (download available). I cannot determine how to change the extent of the overview map…and how to change the basemap used in the background. The Overview map is set to use the ESRI Streets basemap (yellow), however, I cannot locate where to adjust that configuration.
So: I request a process to change the basemap and extent of the Overview Map in the “VertiGIS Studio Printing - 8.5 x 11 Landscape Template” (and Portrait).
Thank you,

I would also like to see the same functionality of the overview map extent found in Essentials to be added to Printing.

Same here, this makes it easier to see where the print extent is happening within our county boundary
