How to allow users to access tokens in bands/charts

In the original Inline solution, when we setup tokens and lookups for lets say ILI year, then the user could right click on the band and select a different year if the data supported it. I've setup tokens/lookups in the product and I'm not seeing the option when I right-click on the bands. The closest thing to this I've found is the "Allow Data Filtering" option within the chart. I'd prefer just to have it drop down the available years rather than a user having to guess through the filter query. Can someone explain how this is done in the product?
