E-Size Print Template
Hi,
I created a E-size (44x34) print template by setting the Printer Setup in the Report Designer, and set Margins as top: 0.75, bottom: 0..75, left: 0.75, and right: 0.75 in the Page Setup. However, when I tried to print using the template, I got an error message: "The Margins are too large" . Even when I changed the margins from 0.75 to 0.25, I still get the same error message. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Yuying

I have a similar large format printing problem. It seems that not matter what I do, I get the "Margins are too large" error dialog box. I set the margins to .25; I shrunk the map components to be 2 inches inside the margins, yet I am still getting the same error.
If you have succeeded in getting a C,D, or E print template to work could you share your settings?
Thanks
Jorge

When are you getting the error message? When clicking Create File in your site or when trying to print the resultant file?
I have successfully created an E-sized template and using it in both Essentials 3.8 and 3.9 Silverlight sites. Width is defined as 43" with height only defined in Detail1 as 33" (headers and footers are 0") and the printer paper size in Settings set to 44" x 34".

I had a lot of issues with this too! I was setting all my margins (File > Report Settings > Page Setup), but I also needed to change the Printer Settings (File > Report Settings > Printer Settings). Once I chose the E paper size in the Printer Settings, it stopped giving me errors about the margins.

I also can't get the large format printing to work. Trying to make a size E template. The paper size is set to E (34x44), the margins are set to 0.5, and the report width is set to 43, the contents of the template are 32.25x42.5. There should be plenty of room. Yet we continue to get the "Print error: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Margins are too large" error.
We also took a working 11x17 print template and changed the paper size to size E and we still get the error.
Any assitance on the appropriate settings to get large format plotting working would be appreciated...
