Add geometry from XY coordinate

It would be nice to have a web editing tool that allowed users to add a point geometry to a feature from manually input  XY coordinates. I imagine this would be something like the "Absolute X,Y..." tool that is provided in the ArcGIS Desktop editing tools. It would also be helpful if users could pick the projection and coordinate system their input coordinates were in from a dropdown on the tool. Probably only a few basic projections and coordinate systems would be needed (e.g. Web Mercator Meters, NAD83 lat/lon, etc.).

  Has anybody figured out how to Make XY events from a csv for the HTML 5 viewer yet?

  We recently (6 months ago) moved away from the Silverlight Viewer to HTML5. One of the key functionality missing from our viewers is the ability to upload x, y coordinates - manually input the data AND upload a csv file with x,y information. It's something that our regular users complain about on a regular basis. And chance this functionality will be coming soon?
