Add Data - accept more formats and coordinates

The current add data tools, open shapefile and csv seem to bring the file in ok, but it seems that the attributes are not available once displayed in the map.  This would be great.

Also, the shapefile or csv must be use the same coordinates of the base map.  It would be nice to have coordinates transformed if necessary when they are added to the map (FME transformation??)

More available formats would also be great - .DWG, .DXF, .TAB, .DGN, Access DataBase etc
