Get Visible Map Layers only for Data Extraction

Is there a command to only get the visible map layers in Workflow?  I have a map service with several hundred layers and it would be more usable to have the layer selection only see the layers that are currently selected as options versus everything.

Any pointers on how to modify the data extract workflows to set the data list items to only the visible map layers?

  This is an older post... But I had the same question, so figured I'd ask if you were able to create something that does this?
