Select by Location

It would be nice to have a tool that allowed you to select items in a layer that intersect (or have their centroid in) the selected items of another layer.  This would allow you to say select all parcels within a district, etc.  I've found a work-around by doing a -1 buffer, but that  is not very inuitive for the user...
