Problems with Field Templates

How do I report this as a possible bug without being charged by Technical Support?  I'd like somebody else to test this and see if it really is a problem.

Usually someone from latitude tech support will pick up the issue on the fourms. They have helped me in the past troubleshooting bugs I found and we were not charged any support hours.

Since it's been over two weeks since I posted, maybe I'll provide more of an example.  I have several field values in the BOTANICALNM field.  An example value is Acer Platanoides 'Emerald Queen'.  When I Identify the feature, it shows up that way in the Results window.  However, when I bring up the Map Tip OR the Details dialog (you know, the dialog with Zoom To Feature, Pan To Feature, Create A Report, Copy Feature, and Add To Selected links), the value shows up this way: Acer Platanoides 'Emeral Queen'

Now, bear with me as I explain about the underlying ArcGIS Web Service, because these details might be the cause, though I still think Essentials should be able to handle this issue.  The ArcGIS Web Service accesses an .msd that has a shapefile in it, and that shapefile is joined to a .dbf in ArcMap.  In every respect, the map service works just like any other.  However, when I use Field Templates from drop-down lists in Essentials REST Manager, they don't work.  For instance, the ArcGIS Server alias for BOTANICALNM is Botanical Name.  If I click Insert to put that field template in a layer property, the field always shows up empty in the Silverlight Viewer.  But if I manually type {Botanical Name} in, then I get warnings in Manager, but the field values DO show up in the Silverlight Viewer.  Maybe this other issue has something do with single-quotes being HTML decoded?

    Roger,

There have been a few issues with HTML encoding in the feature description section in the Silverlight Viewer, but I suspect the issues are resolved as of the newly released 1.5 version.  I tested with token values which contain apostrophes and they look correct in both views (the results view on the side and the feature details floating window).

I know that the issue with having "&" in your data has been fixed in 1.5. This was causing issues for me because when this was in the data nothing would display in the map tips.
