Required Fields for Print Template Report

Is there a way to specify fields within a print template report to be required?  We would like to add this to capture the user name of who is creating the map (Created By: xxxxxx).  This would essentially be an editable field that would be necessary to create a map using a print template.  However, I do not see any configuration available to classify as required. 

All of our sites are secure so capturing the login username would also work if it is possible.

Any Suggestions?
