How to add custom activity (*.dll) to Geocortex Workflow Designer?

Hi everyone,

I am posting this topic to try to get help for adding a custom activity to Workflow Designer. I just downloaded and installed "Microsoft WF ADO.NET Activity Pack". There are three dll files installed in my computer. I want to use the ADO.Net activity as part of a workflow to manipuate SQL Server database. It doesn't automatically show up in the toolbox pane in Workflow Designer.

• Microsoft.Data.Activities.Design
• Microsoft.Data.Activities.dll
• Microsoft.VisualStudio.ActivityPack.Data.dll

How to use those dll files as activities in the Geocortex Workflow Designer?

  HI Alex

   

  assuming that you installed GeoCortex into the default location then if you put those dll's into C:\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\Workflow Designer  , then the new activities should show up when you start the Workflow Designer in the very bottom of the Toolbox.

  Thanks for your help, Ralph.

  I worked it out by putting the dll files in both the Designer.exe and REST Service/bin directories.
