Adding grids to Map Templates

    Hi Joel,

Did you ever find a solution to this? If I could add grids to the map templates, that would be a great help. The only thing I can think of at the moment is to create a feature grid, display that as a map layer, and to somehow configure the text to display the grid values around the outside of the map boundary. This seems like a complex way of doing it, there must be an easier solution?

    Hi Joel, Aled,

We're currently developing a feature to allow grids/graticules to be placed on printed maps. Each print template can include a map units grid and/or a graticules grid, then the end user can choose include the grid they are interested in plotting on the map. At this point, it is unclear whether or not this will be included in the upcoming 3.13 release (end of Feb) or within the 3.14 release (end of March).

Great news Drew! I was playing around with the Grid/Graticule tool in ArcMap and was considering publishing a geoprocessing service to try and accomplish this. I guess I'll defer to the pros!

    Any updates on the availability?

    Thanks!!

    Hi All,

This will be included in the 3.14 release which we expect to have out in about a month.
