HTML5 Editing

I'm taking the HTML5 virtual class, and it was mentioned that editing is not currently available in HTML5, and will likely not be for a while.  This is exactly what we were looking for for HTML5 - the ability to take a mobile device out into the field to capture new asset features and update existing ones.  Without editing, I'm not even sure it makes sense to start developing sites for HTML5...
