print template: adjust zoomlevel of overviewmap

If I create a print using an A3 print template, sometimes the indication of the map area (the red square) is clipped by the overviewmap, and thus not showing the complete square but only a part of it.

I think this is due to the zoom level setting of the default overviewmap object, which does not allow for the overviewmap to zoom out to encompass the complete square. Is it somehow possible to change this zoomlevel to resolve this problem?

  Hi Arjan,

  There's no way to do this on a per-template basis, but if you go to the Overview Map configuration panel in REST Manager, you can set the "Initial Extent" of the Overview Map.  Set the initial extent to show a little bit more of the map, and you will get a better result in your printed PDF.
