Mouse Coordinate
Hello,
Curently, our map uses NAD83 UTM and the mouse coordinate as displayed in the lower left corner of the map is X Y.
Is there a way to configure the Geocortex to display the mouse coordinate as lat long instead?
Thanks,
Vu Dang

Hi Vu
as far as I know there is no option for this.
The mouse coordinates will always be in the coordinates of the map. It is done this way to have a decent level of performance. To change it to lat / long the NAD83 UTM coords need to be sent to a geometry server and converted which takes time, albeit it hopefully a small time, but one that does add up so Latitude has decided to only do this on a mouse click as per the Analysis Tab in the Advanced Toolbar.
Hope that helps

This is a bug bear of a good deal of our users! The current coordinates displayed are useless to anyone (VicGrid94)
If LG were to calculate at the end of a mouse movement (and display) - rather than pure real time, this would be a good start. The whole workflow of plotting a co-ord on the map is pretty cumbersome.
I'm sure this has been logged as an enhancement request - but as yet I don't think we've heard nothing back on any progress on this front(??).
cheers
Gareth
