Null hyperlink values
Is it possible to enable hyperlinks for features only if they have a value in them? My hyperlink URI is set to:
https://server.net/Documents/DocumentList.aspx?ID={LinkID}
Some of the values of the attributes I've set up hyperlinks for are null, so when the user clicks on them they get taken to this URI:
https://server.net/Documents/DocumentList.aspx?ID=
But this is not what should happen. Instead the user should not be able to click the hyperlink or some message should appear, if the value of the attribute is null.
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark
I would suggest that there would be a lot of people who would appreciate such an improvement. Especially if it was possible in the Feature Long Description.

Hi Mark and Ralph,
I am currently having feature hyperlinks for a layer and and some of my features don't have value in them. and now I have hyperlinks that don't work.
Has this issue ever been resolved?
Thank you

Hi Dominic
not that I am aware of. It would be handy to be able to have some logic occuring in the Feature Description also as to whether to show links etc.

I've recently heard from Latitude that they've added the handling of null hyperlinks as a feature request GVS-3189 and it would include a configurable option: either show the hyperlink as disabled or remove it entirely based on a configuration setting.
