Disable MapTip when clicking on feature in data and result region

Hi

Is it possible to disable the map tip when you left click on a feature in the data region or results region?  Left clicking on the resultant record "Zooms" me to the feature which is good ...but I don't want the map tip displayed.

I want to maintain the map tip when I hover over a feature but I want to disable the map tip when I left click on the feature in the data region or results region.
