New in the Geocortex Code Gallery: Citizen's Service Request
This note is a follow-up going out to registrants from our Another Look at the Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 webinar in October. Following the presentation, many of you asked where you could get the code we showcased. We committed to packaging everything up and making it all available, and that content is now ready.
The workflows and applications shown in the webinar were created to illustrate what's possible with our platform and showcase our rapid progress with the Geocortex Viewer for HTML5. Everything that was demonstrated can be built using Geocortex technology today and be deployed to production (which is what our technology is all about), but do understand these demonstration sites were never developed as anything more than examples and are not parts of our formal product offering.
The demonstration included:
- Applying our HTML5 viewer in desktop, tablet and smartphone scenarios
- Taking a mobile application offline (disconnected from mobile networks and Wi-Fi)
- Performing data edits while offline and attaching photos to spatial features
- Synchronizing edits with the back-office geodatabase when returning online
We've posted a video recording of the entire webinar demonstration at the (https://support.geocortex.com/video-recordings) Video section of the (http://latitudegeographics.createsend1.com/t/j-l-jrddlyk-l-y/) Geocortex Support Center , and licensees are welcome to download these workflows and apps via the (https://support.geocortex.com/citizen-service-request-demo-sites) Geocortex Code Gallery . Even if you're not looking to deploy to production, we think they represent a great resource for learning and experimentation.
Please note that while these pre-packaged demos showcase workflows for managing citizen service requests in an online environment, enabling offline support and camera integration in advance of general availability of our Geocortex App (~March) requires coordination with Latitude.
