Get current layer display status (GE3.11.1/SL1.7)

Hi to all

has anyone found a way to get what the current display status of a given layer in the map is in a workflow when using the Silverlight viewer.  I need to control a workflow based on whether a given layer is turned on or off.

Currently there appears to be tools

• to toggle a layers visibility ie ToggleLayerVisibilty but not find out whether a layer is turned on or not which is kind of frustrating. (via Run External Command)
• use Set Layer Visibility activity  but you still don't know what it was to start with.

Maybe the GetMapServiceInfo activity could be modified to return a List of LayerNames and their current visibility statuses.
