Hi,

 

I have 2 questions concerning the HTML5 viewer.

1. How to add a new layer to the map and the layers list? I want to develop a module to enable the users to add their own map service (Ex.: http://www.[...]/rest/services/Buildings/ MapServer /0). Is there an existing command for this task?
2. Is there an out of the box measuring set of tools? If not, do you recommend using the ArcGIS JavaScript measuring widget?

  Hi,

  Were you ever able to come up with a way for users to add a map layer in the HTML viewer? 

  I would like to create a lightweight viewer that takes an input startup query parameter to add a map service for preview/viewing/identifying.  Anyone done anything like this?
