ArcGIS Online Web Map and Map Tips not working
I've successfully put one of our subscription Arcgis online web apps with a hosted feature service into ArcGIS Online.
Points are drawn on map etc.
BUT
Map tips aren't working. Fiddler is showing the map tips are using an invalid url.
Has anyone used ArcGIS Online hosted services in Geocortex successfully with map tips? Attachments also... which I'm yet to test since the map tips aren't working.
If anyone wants the web app id I can send it to them to test.
I'll get on to my local support also.

Ooops forgot to say I used the ArcGIS Online web map id in Geocortex, but that's sort of obvious right!?

Hi. I setup 2 identical sites. One on a dev server that has Silverlight 1.6 viewer and our new dev server that has SL 1.8. Nothing I do enables the map tips, the whole region is disabled. Works like a charm in 1.6. See attached. The map services are on our servers, did you try it with your local map services first? Maybe it's an issue with SL 1.8 and some configuration nuance that's new?
Top Image = SL V1.8, Bottom image = SLv1.6

Tips were disabled in my default and my sites Viewer.xml file <MapTipsEnabled Value="True" /> . Doubt your issue is something as simple as this.

No, map tips are enabled.
I think I've tracked it down to the fact the feature services published on arcgis.com are "special". They don't have an associated mapserver rest interface.
So Essentials draws the feature service with no trouble but the map tips are trying to go to the mapserver end point to query.
No mapserver endpoint means unhappy Essentials/Viewer. We're 3.12/1.8 btw.
Looking forward to a fix for this one. Please don't forget attachments in the fix :-)

Peter > I had this issue when building a JSViewer using ArcGIS api. I ended up creating a tiled cache service and I was able to run the identifies on the service. This is expensive so I was hoping ESRI would resolve this. I haven't reviewed our ArcGIS for Organizations for awhile, so not sure if it's been resolved... doesn't sound like it.

Our layer that's being inquired is live data being collected on arcgis mobile and esri collector. Can't tile that.
I'm getting a little annoyed with the feature service only on arcgis.com. No labelling is another pain in the ...
We will probably have to go back to hosting the service on our dmz server.
