Yep.  I've seen the same thing.  I also have a poorly formated message box that keeps popping up asking for my credentials to a secure service.

    Thanks Peter for your response.

Can someone from Support help us verify if this is an issue? Or if there is a solution?

I hope so.  I think it's a related issue to the other 3.14 thread.

I was also seeing a layer list in Administrator where everything was lined up to the left in IE.  Chrome didn't seem to have the problem.

It looks like labels need to be turned on in your map service, in order to see the "show labels" checkbox when you click the layer in the map layers section. I do not see the option to show labels for layers that I haven't configured layers for in my map service.

Do you have labels configured for the features in your map service?

    Hi Jared,

If your viewer configuration has a copy the defaults from a previous version, then you will continue to see only that configuration in newer versions.  This will happen when you copy the defaults in REST Manager.

If you create a new 1.9 viewer in REST manager, can you see the label toggle options in the layer list?  If you do, you will need to merge to configuration in the viewer.xml, or "revert to defaults" in REST manager, then re-copy and apply your changes.

    Regards,

    -Malcolm

I created a new site with only the 1.9 viewer.  I do not see a toggle option in the layer list.  I will send screenshots to the support email.

I did get the label visibility feature on a layer to work today.

    Software Prerequisites:

    • ArcGIS Server 10.1
    • Geocortex Essentials 3.14
    • Geocortex Viewer for Silverlight 1.9

    Data Requirements:

    • The layer must contain label information.

    Configuration Requirements:

    • The labels for the layer must be turned on by default when you publish the map service for Geocortex Essentials to see them. To do this, right-click on a layer in ArcGIS Desktop, the option reads “Label Features”. Note that you can subsequently turn the labels off within Geocortex Essentials.
      • View the REST endpoint for the layer within the map service, the property “Has Labels” should be true .
    • The map must be published as a Dynamic Map Service.
    • The map must be published with Dynamic Workspaces enabled; this is also referred to by Esri as Dynamic Layers ( http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//00sq000000n1000000 ). The option reads “Allow per request modification of layer order and symbology” and can be set in the Capabilities section of the ArcGIS Server Manager.
      • View the REST endpoint for the map service, the property “Supports Dynamic Layers” should be true. ?

Once you make the configuration changes above, close your site in Geocortex Essentials Manager and use the green reload arrows to reload the site. Edit the Geocortex Essentials site. Navigate to Map. Edit the map layer. You should now see the “Show Labels” property in the Display section.
