SSL issue
Hi all,
Trying to make a connection to an ArcServer with SSL enabled and I'm getting the below...
The host 'https://***:6443/arcgis/rest/services' does not appear to reference a valid ArcGIS Server instance. When specifying a URL please ensure you provide the full URL to an ArcGIS Server Services Directory. Underlying error: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Regards,
Liam

Hi Liam,
Have you tried adding the certificate to the trusted root certificate store of the server? (if it's a certificate not trusted by the Essentials server). The following forum thread could be of help: https://support.geocortex.com/SupportForums/Thread.aspx?pageid=0&mid=2&ItemID=2&thread=46079
And the article from MSDN: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms733813.aspx. The details on how to add the certificate on the server are under the section Installing a Certificate in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities Store.
Hope it helps,
-Alejandro

Thanks for your reply; I've found that it's Arcgis Server that's having all the kittens. One look at the ESRI forums and I saw about a half-dozen posts of other people having issues with SSL and certificates. Sigh.
