Offline Editing questions
So, I set up editing. Created my Feature service containing just those two layers I wanted to edit, and everything seemed to work okay when I was online. Then I looked at offline, and the only layers that I could take were those two layers. How do I put other layers on my device and have them referenced by the site? I need at least parcels and street labels, but would prefer to put our aerials on the device... Our aerials will be more accurate than the device's GPS, and even if obscured by trees, or not current enough, will provide the best reference layer...

Also, an enhancement request. When working on polygons, it would be nice to get some feedback after placing your 1st point. Oftentimes, points do not work the first time, and it is not clear until you put your 2nd point down and a line appears that you were successful with your 1st point...
Also, on a tablet, why does it not go into Attribute editing after creating a feature? It's a pain to have to select the attribute editing button and then click on an item...

Hi Mike,
Inside of a pure web browser environment, the only type of layers that can be taken offline are Feature Layers. Web technology hasn't advanced quite far enough to allow us to cache useful amounts of tiles in browser storage mechanisms.
We're currently building a cross-platform native application that runs the HTML5 viewer inside of it. When running the native app, offline tiled layers are supported by way of Esri's tile package (TPK) format.
We'll have more information and and official announcement soon. We will initially be supporting iOS before releasing the app on other platforms such as Android.
