Google Streetview - how to display image date

Is there any way to make the Google Street View popup  display the Image Date that normally appears when viewing Streetview images through other non-GC Essentials/Viewer methods?   Perhaps an edit to the GoogleMaps.html?  Not sure if this is an Essentials or SL Viewer question so I started here.

People are falsely assuming it is the same date as our 2013 Pictometry obliques and orthos.
