Only Rotate and Move

Hi List,

I have a couple of features of fair-attractions. Those featues have a fixed dimensions. 

We want to fit those features in to a street, like a jigsaw puzzle. 

The question is how can i enable only the move and rotate of the selected feature and not the change size possibility

Any ideas?

  I assume you mean limit the ability to move on editing? You could accomplish something similar using a workflow, where the user can click to move and rotate an object--but that would be an awkward interface IMO. I don't have other suggestions, other than writing your own Geocortex Viewer for Silverlight module to accomplish what you want.

  This is exactly what I was looking for, but I'm no coder so now the search goes on how to get this working.

  The Geocortex Viewer for Silverlight (GVS) has the EDIT Drawing (markup) tool as the default under Task toolbar menu.

  Is that what you want to achieve?

  Thanks for the reply

  As far as I know we do have the edit drawing toolbar under de task toolbar, but I don't see the possibility to disable the options "edit vertices" and "scale".

  In the case we want to use it, we are not allowed to change the dimensions of the shapes. We only may move them around and rotate them.

  Unfortunately, those properties (ScaleEnabled, EditVerticesEnabled, MoveEnabled etc) of the Ersri.ArcGIS.Client.Editor object can't be passed from the Gcx Markup module to utilize them.

  I will file it up as the GVS product feature improvement if it has not filed up yet.
