Hover over feature
From the Silverlight Developer Guide:
FeatureHoverEvent: When a user hovers over a feature. Geocortex.Essentials.Client.Infrastructure.Events.FeatureSelectEventArgs
Anyone know if a similar event exists in Javascript/HTML5? We'd like to display a map tip on hover rather than click.
Thanks

Did you ever get this to work? I am also interested in a map tip on hover in the HTML5 viewer.

This would be a great feature to have in HTML. Hopefully this will be included in one of the new HTML releases.

Would also like the ability to "star" individual items in your results to make a hand-picked selection that is available in the Silverlight app ported to the HTML5 app.

We need this as well.
It would be nice if Latitude weighed in on this thread to let us know what release it will be in.

Hi folks,
I've filed a feature request (GVH-7225 ) and added all of you as stakeholders. I'll make the product managers aware and we'll look at prioritizing this for a future release.
Cheers,
Jordan

Oh, and Ethan, saved feature selections are a feature we're working on for 2.6, which is tentatively planned for release at the end of the year or early 2016.

Soooo....... This still does not exist, I take it..... Any progress on it's development? 0 -
Feature selection and feature highlighting is getting a bit of a makeover in Essentials 4.7 and HTML5 viewer 2.8, including the ability to highlight features via a mouse hover event. 0 -
Jordan,
Will this act similar to Silverlight when you could hover over a result with your mouse (it flashes in the screen) and then you can click a star somewhere next to the result to maintain it's selection? I've been telling clients to do a 1 ft. or -1 ft. buffer on selected items and convert them to drawings but that's extra, somewhat confusing steps especially for infrequent or new users. Above anything else that's being developed, this is **the** enhancement my clients are begging me for. I want to tell them it's coming but am fearful it won't be what they were weaned on. Will it be similar? Fingers crossed!0 -
Yes, I miss that feature, too. I'm afraid I can't provide any details at this point; what little I do know may change significantly before the finished products are released. I would definitely keep an eye on the (http://go.geocortex.com/road-ahead) Road Ahead webinars that Steve and Drew host over the coming months -- that tends to be the best place to catch a glimpse of upcoming features. 0 -
We would also like to see this come to production with teh Javascript and HTML5 Viewers. 0 -
The FeatureHoverEvent will be available in the 2.8 version of the HTML5 viewer, which you'll be able to preview in beta in a few weeks (with the official release expected to follow six to eight weeks later). 0 -
Is FeatureHoverEvent implemented? 0
