Overview map disappeared on edited print template
Hi,
I haven't seen anything recent on this. I just did some layout edits to one of my print templates, tweaking positioning only. When I create the pdf for printing, the overview map is missing, but the red square is still there. On another print template that I haven't edited, the overview map still shows. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? We are using GE 3.14.
Thanks,
Heather

Just in case anyone else runs into this - apparently I resized the Overview Map element on the report layout, which caused it to no longer draw. Once I changed the element size back to exactly what it was on a working version, the map came back.

I'm seeing this same problem.

However this suggestion did not work for me.
Any other thoughts on what might be happening here?

Hello,
We are currently running GE 4.9.1 / HTML5 2.10.1:
I recently had a map viewer user point out that our pdf maps 14"x18" and greater in print layout were having this issue of the overview map not generating on the pdf file output. For the _OverviewMap DataField I changed the SizeMode settings of the Layout selection from Clip to Stretch and it resolved the issue.
Cheers,

This has just come up again, and none of the 3 size modes work. 0 -
I am hainvg the same issues. I've tried to change to Stretch and it still won't display the overview map. 0 -
Hi Folks,
If the overview map is missing but the red square does appear, that probably means the image we got from ArcGIS Server was just blank white. The red square is added afterward by Esesntials.
I recommend checking the Essentials REST System logs to see if there are any errors that would explain why a blank image is being drawn. It's also a good idea to check the ArcGIS Server logs to see if any data connections have failed that would cause the server to lose layers or the ability to draw maps.
You can also try exporting maps from ArcGIS Server, it might be drawing white maps on purpose!
