relationship class field visibility

I added a relationship to my site, and when I access the relationship attributes of a selected feature, it shows all the fields of the related feature attribute table. Is there a way in Geocortex Manager to limit what fields are shown from the related feature attribute table, or must that be done in the map service source .mxd file? I set visibility for this layer in the map layer properties, but it doesn't seem to respect those settings.

  have you tried to set the Visibilities of each field of a Layer on the Rest manager - Map - Layer (edit layer) - Field tab (add field) - Set visibility on/off?

  That appeared to have no impact, as I only had 1 field set as visible... I did go into the source .mxd and set the visibility of the fields there and achieved the desired effect.

  I think customising the display of a relationship is very limited.  I don't think you can  change field names, feature description, map tip, etc for a  related object.
