The Geocortex is unable to “see” the services published by the ArcGIS Server,

 

I wanted to add one of the services published by the ArcGIS Server but sound that the Geocortex is not able to see these services. I tried to add these services to the “ArcGIS viewer for silverlight” and it does work.

Please, have a look on the attached screenshots.

  Hi Jamal,

  You may be getting this error message because you have entered the entire url to the map service, instead of just the portion up to the services directory.

  If you enter http://server/arcgis/rest/services instead of http://server/arcgis/rest/services/serviceName/MapServer, the next window in the dialog will ask to you enter credentials to connect to the secured service, and you will be able to add the service to your site without getting the Token Required error.

  Many thanks Victoria for the answer.

   

  I got help from a friend and it works fine

  -The issue is never the URL but it is that the service is made private. I switched it to be public and it worked fine with the same URL

  -In case of private services, true, I must not provide the full URL of a particular services, instead, the link below can be provided

  http://jamal-pc:6080/arcgis/rest/services

  then the “access secured services” must be clicked in case of “private” ones
