Setting a limit for the zoom in,
Setting a limit for the zoom in,
I’m wondering if there is a setting the Geocortex by which the zoom in can be limited by a specifica value. For example, I don’t need my maps to be zoomed in further than 1:1000 and thus the maximum zoom in value the user can have is 1:1000.

Is there such option in the Geocortex?
Thank you

Hi Jamal,
If you are using the Silverlight Viewer you can set the minimum and maximum resolution, which determine the min and max scales that the viewer will be able to zoom to. These settings are located on the Map Module page in Rest Manager, under the Settings tab. The Minimum resolution will set the furthest scale that the viewer will zoom in to, and the Maximum resolution will set the furthest scale that the viewer will zoom out.
For instructions on how to calculate the resolution based on the scales you want to restrict the viewer to, please see the following article:
https://support.geocortex.com/controlling-the-minimum-and-maximum-scale-of-your-map
Unfortunately these settings are not available in the HTML5 Viewer at this time.

Many thanks Victoria for the help,
Then to restrict the zoom between 1:500 and 1:1000000 I need to set the max\min resolution as shown in the screenshot below
