Where can I find the geocortex app as shown in the video recordings ?

Hi Gery,
If you head to the Downloads section of the Suppot Center you will see the Geocortex App listed there.
Grab a copy of the Administrator Guide PDF and it will give you further instructions on what you need to have set up to get the app.

I see all of the other options but the geocortex app does not show up for me. I assume I have access since this is part of the standard essentials package.

In the download section I just see "information & policies" . It's a little bit frustrating that I have to ask this on the local reseller. This goes up for every update/release of essentials or viewer templates. Why can I not just download the software from the site?

This has always been a pain! We have a logon to the support site like anyone else has, and yet it we cannot access the same stuff everyone else has. Ludicrous IMHO. Why can't we hit the source up for the latest and greatest. Instead we rely on our local distributor to stay up to date as possible, and it's not their core business in this part of the world.
I can hit Esri's customer care portal without issue and keep up to date, why are we the poor cousins outside of North America. It's not the first time this has been raised as a talking point on this forum.... and won't be the last!

I am not seeing the Geocortex App in the downloads section either and I don't go through a re-seller.
Do I need to request access? If I search on the forums I can find the Admin pdf but I get a permission denied when I click on it.

Hello all,
My apologies if I caused confusion. The app iteslf is not in the Downloads section. You are looking for a section header called "Geocortex App" and there you should be able to access the two PDF guides.
These guides explain in greater detail the iOS/Apple specific requirements in order to get the Geocortex App up and running.

Sorry I don't follow. I don't see a section header called "Geocortex App" in the Download section or any section. It appears that maybe a permission setting is keeping it from being viewed?
I don't see the admin PDF guides.

I still don't see anything as well. Could you possibly post a link so we can see if it is a permissions issue of some sort.

If you search for "app" the second entry shows one of the pdf links, Downloads > Geocortex App Administrator Guide.pdf

Hello everyone,
The Geocortex App is available through your account manager or local reseller. I can sympathize with Todd's rant, and understand that it is frustrating. In this case, the Geocortex App is not distributed like a regular iOS app; you cannot just download it from the App store and go. Part of the reason we are asking customers to go through their account manager/reseller is so that they can explain the process in detail, the reasons behind it, and help guide you through that process.
I will try my best to explain why we are taking this approach.
The Geocortex App is a wrapper around your HTML5 Viewer applications. The mapping applications that you build with the viewer, including the menus and interface, are considered part of the Geocortex App for iOS by Apple's interface guidelines. Apple has some clear policies for makers of apps, including one that you cannot ship an App through their store that has interface elements and menu items that can change based on server configuration. They consider it jarring and surprising for users and reject apps that do this. Rightly so, as there are some sneaky things people could inflict on users without them having to download a new version of an app!
In our case, the ability to easily distribute changes and updates to your application from the server is one of the great benefits of using Geocortex to build your applications. One of the big values we provide makes it impossible for us to distribute this app through the App store! So we get around this by making the Geocortex App for iOS available through an Apple Enterprise Developer account on your side. This will take some guidance, which is why we use our account managers and resellers to start and guide the process.
The steps to get the iOS app are not straightforward. We feel that pain and rely on our account managers and resellers to help you go through the process of getting the app so that you don't have to feel that pain quite so keenly.
Apologies for the confusion on how to get the Geocortex App. I've added a note to the video recording page, and I will try my best to answer further questions that you may have here.
