    Hi Steve

how smart is the page that you are going to open be? Potentially you could:

    • write all of  those parameters to a record in a table and then just pass an id to the new page for it to go and fetch those parameters and display them or
    • write them to a file in a similar way to the above or
    • pass a long string of request parameters to the new page.

Could you describe your scenario a little more maybe?

    Regards

    Ralph

    Hi Ralph,

I am hoping to make it work the third way you listed (pass a long string of request parameters to the new page) although any of those options would be fine, but I am not sure how to get this info from Geocortex.   How do I pull this info from Geocortex to pass to my external app?

    Details:

The user wants a larger report with a map of the content and extent that they see on their screen as well as another map of the same extent with different content not related to what is on their screen.  The second map's layer content (land use layers) will be static, but the extent needs to be the same as whatever is on their screen.

I want the user to click on a link on the pop-up of the parcel to launch the report as web page.  I am not sure how to get Geocortex to tell me the extent and layers the user has turned on at the time they click on the link.

    Thanks,

    Steve
