Geocortex and Web Adaptor on same port 80
Does anyone have any experience installing the ArcGIS Server 10.2 Web Adaptor using port 80 and also having the Geocortex Essentials application server using port 80….on the same machine? I’m curious if they would interfere with each other and compete for port 80. Our IT department thinks they will conflict and need to be installed on separate ports. I'm curious if anyone has had experience with both applications being on port 80.

Steph,
I've got two 'geoapplication' servers in the mix that host both GXE and the AGS Web Adaptor. These in turn round-robin to a minimum of 3 AGS servers in a 'site' in 10.2
I've attached a very basic architectural diagram to explain how we've set things up...
We have 4 environments all set up the same way - DEV, UAT,TRN, and PROD. We are in load testing phase at the moment, but we have run some training courses already on our TRN boxes... but it's still a little early to say this is 'the' best way to set things up.
hope it helps

the initial diagram states 10.1 - but we have since gone with 10.2 due to speed issues associated with SqlServer 2012.
cheers
Gareth
