"Can Symbolize Unique Value" in 3.15
Can anyone tell me what controls if this option is available for a Field in release 3.15?
When I go to Edit Layer and look at the Fields, for one of my Layers I see the icon (little square, triangle, circle & star, like the one that appears in the Map Viewer when you symbolize a layer) next to the others for Global Search, Visible, Edit & Remove, but for another Layer it isn't there & I can't work out out why not, or how to add it.
Is it an automatic setting? I see there's another for Can Symbolize Class Breaks, & I can see that should be limited to fields with numeric values, but almost anything should be able to be symbolized as a Unique Value. & it's not a large dataset - just 207 polygons...
If I look under the Details for the problem layer, there is no check box under Supported Operations for Allow Symbolization either, but there is for the layer that works as I want it to.
We're in version 3.15 in Testing, and maybe 3.11 in Production - where it seems to work OK.
When it does work, is it normal that the only option is a colour ramp? That's really not very useful. I gather it's too much to ask that it assign colours so that no adjacent polygons match? I see you can edit the colour individually afterwards, which is a something I guess.

In order to use dynamic symbolization, the map service need to have Dynamic Workspaces allowed. Check to make sure your map service has this enabled in the Capabilities section. This has be turned on in order to be able to see the Allow Symbolization option on the layer in GE and to set which fields are used.
