The “Geocortex Essentials Manager” is not able to open,
I couldn’t figure out which machine address should be used to have the “Geocortex Essentials Manager” accessible and stop having the message below
/customer/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=00P6000000elzhVEAQ
in general we have 3 addresses for any machine:
machine name
IP address
Localhost
In my case, if the name of the machine is used in the link (as below), the “Geocortex Essentials Manager” in not open, if the machine replaced be IP address then it does.
Now, I’m advised to follow the two instructions below to have the “Geocortex Essentials Manager” started (as it is clicked) with the IP address instead of machine name
replace the machine name available in the file Web.config (C:\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\Manager) with the IP address.

Replace the name of the machine available in the RestManagerSettings.xml (C:\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\Manager\App_Data) with the IP address

Nevertheless, it doesn’t work and keep starting the “Geocortex Essentials Manager” with the machine name instead of IP address.
What might be the issue here?

Hi Jamal,
You can change the URL that Manager launches with from the Start menu by opening the properties of the RestManager shortcut located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\Post Install\RestManager.url"
In the properties is a URL that you can change to the ip address if you prefer:
/customer/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=00P6000000eltwgEAA
Also, the error in your screen shot above looks like it might be because you are missing an extra "/" in the url. You have http:/10.110.62.82/... instead of http:// 10.110.62.82/..

Thank you very much Victoria. This is what I have been looking for since long itme.
Switching the URL of the RestManager (stored in C:\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\Post Install) to http://10.110.62.82/Geocortex/Essentials/RestManager solves my issue.
