Add Featuremap Error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Hi,

I am getting the following errors when I am trying to Add Featuremap for my report. It’s strange that mostly I am getting error which is in figure one but I also get other errors such as image two. I’ll appreciate if any one can help in this regard.

  I haven't used feature maps yet, but usually I see the "object reference not set to an instance of an object" error if the ObjectID field is not visible in the MXD, or if one of the data fields has an illegal character. The "could not find a feature with geometry in this layer" makes me think maybe the Shape/ShapeArea/ShapeLength fields are hidden? Check to make sure those fields are all visible in the MXD; you can turn the visibility off in Essentials Manager if needed.
