“undo” when editing via Geocortex web mapping application,
I’m wondering if there is a way to undo particular edits when editing via Geocortex web mapping application. For example, if a feature is selected and deleted (as shown in the screenshot below), then is there a way to undo this action or the edits are transferred directly to the enterprise geodatabase where there is no way to undo it.

Thank you

Hi Jamal,
The default behavior when you edit a feature layer in Geocortex, is for the changes to be automatically saved to the database. However, you can change this by editing the Feature Service in Manager, going to the Functional tab, and uncheck Auto Save.

This will add two extra buttons to the Editing tools on the Toolbar - Save Edits and Cancel. Now when you make changes, you will have to explicitly click on Save Edits for the changes to be saved to the database. If you accidentally delete a feature or otherwise do not want to save one of your edits, simply press Cancel and the map will revert to the last saved state.

A huge thank for you Victoria for the very useful answer. This really helps. i like the screenshots.
By the way, how one can say that this thread is solved. I’m also a member in the community of AutoCAD and ArcGIS and both have this feature. This is in addition to say “helpful”. This does help other users to pick the best answer directly.
Another issue, is that when images are inserted to threads in the forum of the Geocortex, their resolution gets worse (becomes unclear).
Best regards
Jamal

Hi Victoria,
This is for many of our customers only a half solution. If you're makin 20-25 changes evertime you edit, then you dont want to save after each single one. So if you make an error in change number 24, you would loose all of your edits when using cancel - correct?
An "Undo last action" button would be much more helpfull if it is even possible. :-)

@LG
If it's even possible, it would be good. We've been asked this a few times now, but I could understand if there is some complexity involved here....
