select using drawn polygon

Is is possible to draw a polygon using the drawing tools and then use the polygon to select all features within it?

A staff member wants to print the drawn polygon on a map and then generate a report from the selected features.

  What about using a workflow that uses the DisplayCaptureGeometry activity to draw the markup and run a report based on the geometry?
