Adding “extract” as workflow: the region manager does not contain a region

    Hi Jamal,

Workflow Containers must run inside a Viewer Region. In the second to last screenshot you posted, I see you added a workflow container named "Extract", however, the Region is empty. For the workflow to run properly, you must select a region for the container. For the Extract workflow, we suggest using "DataRegion" as the region.

Many thanks Victoria for the help,

I added the “DataRegion” but I newly got another error

    /customer/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=00P6000000elzVPEAY

What other issue should I consider?

    Hi Jamal

so what is the url for your geoprocessing task?

    /customer/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=00P6000000em1DKEAY

Is it laid out as per the tooltip shows above?

Have you then clicked on the green arrow icon to get the correct parameters fetched for it?

    Regards

    Ralph

    Thanks Ralph,

The workflow of my Extract.xaml doesn’t contain this part. Please have a look on the workflow:

    /customer/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=00P6000000elzl3EAA

    /customer/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=00P6000000elsaIEAQ

    Hi Jamal

can you try searching for 1.259 in the Search box as seen in the top of your image?

    What activity does it find?

    Thanks Ralph

Nothing is returned as 1.259 is searched in the search box.

What other issues might be there?

By the way, have you plugged in your application my Extract.xaml. The workflow itself could be the problem. Unfortunately, I’m not developer to see where might be the problem with the workflow.

    Hi Jamal,

If you are using the standard Extract workflow that comes with Essentials, you will have to configure it to use your own geoprocessing task. This is configured as an input argument, which you should be able to set in the properties of the workflow in Manager. If you expand the Extract sequence, you will see the Geoprocessing workflow activity, and that it requires a geoprocessingTaskUri argument.

For full instructions on how to use this workflow, please see section 10.4 on Data Extraction in the Silverlight Viewer Administrator and Developer Guide. This will describe the steps required to publish the geoprocessing service, and how to fully configure the workflow to use your data.
