How to update viewer when service is updated?

I've noticed that if something minor changes in a layer within a service that Geocortex viewers don't seem to pick up the change. For example if the display field is changed for a layer, the viewer doesn't change what is displayed by the results.

 

Is there a way to refresh the service, but keeping settings? Or do you have to delete and re-add the service any time something changes?

  Are you changing the display field in ArcGIS Desktop or in Geocortex Manager?

  I meant the display field in Arcmap or other small changes in the published service like new fields (which I don't think show up after re-publishing) etc.

  New fields have to be added in GE Manager manually on the Fields tab for the layer in question.

  You can change the display in the results with the Feature Label and Feature Description settings on the layer in GE Manager. I wasn't aware that the Display setting in ArcGIS Desktop was even used by GE.

  You have to clear the cache in your ArcServer.  I do this thru the REST API log.

  http://(yourserver)/ArcGIS/rest/admin/cache/clear
